Description
The Goretti family, now in its fourth generation, capture the depth, diversity, and legacy of Umbria. Sisters Sara and Giulia Goretti carry on a winemaking tradition that dates back to the early 19th century, overseeing two distinct properties: 18 hectares in Montefalco and 34 hectares in Pila, in the Colli Perugini hills. These two sites, with their unique elevations and soil compositions—gravel, sand, and clay in Montefalco and calcareous clay in Pila—allow the Gorettis to craft wines that are not only expressive of their terroir but also beautifully complex and balanced.
Their Umbria Rosso ‘Fontanella’ is intense ruby red with slight purple hue in the glass, bright and alive with notes of wild berry, spice, and woodsy herbs, and the perfect wine to serve at your next summer BBQ or family pizza night (or you can opt to enjoy its charms all on its own!).
